| BASED ON THE AWARD-WINNING FILM The Quarrel has captivated audiences the world over, first as a film that won top awards at eight festivals and now as a stage play. David Brandes’ and Joseph Telushkin’s “riveting” script (as described by the L.A. Times) has its off-Broadway premiere this September in a limited run at the DR2 Theatre. The Quarrel focuses on two long-lost friends – one a rabbi, the other a secular writer, each survivors of the Holocaust – who are thrown together in a provocative debate about faith in the almighty and the benevolence of mankind. Previews begin Sept 2; The Quarrel opens Sept 7 and runs Sundays through Thursdays until Sept 28. Tickets are available via Telecharge.com; for further details, visit www.thequarreltheplay.com GALLANT ARTS PAST PRODUCTIONS: - Zen and The Method (Center Stage, 2008) - Gerald's Method (Midtown Festival, 2008) - Five Story Walkup (premieres of short plays by John Guare, Neil LaBute and others; 13th Street Rep, 2007) |
